FACEBOOK (BIRTHDAY, ADS, AND 400M USERS)

It’s been six years since the social website was launched, and the mega website has over 400 million users. Facebook has been making some changes to the design and function of their website. The website will still use Bing for search results.

2. Scrapbooking  is a hobby that is transitioning from the real world to the world wide web. Scapblog is in the process of raising financing for it’s online scrapbooking site. Social Search, Advertising, Video Ringtones, and Online Earnings

1. Local advertising is expanding rapidly. Citysearch helps people to find information on local hotels, shops, restaurants, and much more. Wouldn’t it make since for local businesses to directly advertise to people who are in their area? Well the people behind Citysearch has released Citygrid which will allow the opportunity for advertisers to promote their business to local consumers.

2. Social networks are huge. Millions of people use them everyday. Google recently released a social search site where users can browse a limited amount of information on profiles from social sites. Since sites like Facebook protect their members information, users will not receive someone’s full profile online.

3. Marketers like call leads. After a person sees an ad in the newspaper or on the internet and picks up the phone to call, it’s more likely that the prospective customer is willing to buy the product. Well guess who’s taking their Adwords advertising program and adding a mobile click to call feature to it? Who else could it possibly be? Google is giving it’s advertisers more options.

4. Ringtones are evolving again. Although video ringtones are already available, Vringo hopes that the popularity and profits will soar. Vringo is trying to raise enough money and go public with their video ringtone company.

5. iPhone is allowing its users to make calls from the internet. Users have more than one option to connect with the world.

6. Amazon.com sells everything. You could log on to buy books, computers, snacks, and many other products. It’s considered one of the largest online retailers. That’s why it’s no surprise that Amazon’s earnings are better than what was expected.

ETFs, Google Apps, China’s New Search, and Social Networking

1.  Cell phone users are outraged by the hefty fees they have to pay for early termination. In some cases, users are charged hundreds of dollars if they terminate their contract just days before it ends. The FCC is investigating whether or not it is lawful for users to pay these fees, and consumers want answers from the cell phone companies.

2. Google has been very busy. The search company released the Nexus One, a fast internet browser, and fought against censorship issues in China. Google has now released an app for the iPhone. What’s next for the search company, and will they have success in the mobile business?

3. China has a new Google. The conflict between Google and China over the censorship issue has made way for a new search engine. Goojje wants to claim the space left by Google’s absence.

4. Social networking has become very popular online. Millions of users join sites like Twitter and Facebook to socialize, as well as get caught up on current news events.  There are many issues concerning social networking, and the World Economic Forum held a panel where CEO’s talked about the power of social  communities.

Social Media: Friendly Marketing

by Karima Holston

Millions of users log on to Facebook and Myspace everyday. Some people use these social sites to keep in contact with old friends, play games, or search for potential dates. Twitter is a micro blogging social network that also allows people to send quick messages to each other. The power of social marketing is important to online businesses.

If you own an online business, you should consider opening up an account on all the social networks. Currently, the two most popular sites are Twitter and Facebook. You’ll want your page to be well designed and informative for your customers. If someone has already purchased a product from you, direct that person to your social network page. You’ll want your customers to be able to interact with you anytime. Your page should be about your products, but it’s also important to add some kind of fun aspect to your page. Perhaps you should offer special discounts or contests for your customers.

You also have the potential of gaining customers when you promote your business on social media sites. For instance, if you sell funny t-shirts, you could create a contest for your current customers. Let them know that who ever sends in the best photo of themselves wearing your product, will win a prize. The word will spread when customers alert their friends about the contest. The prize could be 2 free t-shirts. One will go to the winner, and the other could go to the winner’s friend or family member as a free gift.

You can directly request for social users to become your friend online. There will always be a number of people who will refuse to accept a business as their online friend because they don’t want to be spammed with offers. Some things are not under your control. Try to seek customers online without being pushy. Let them know what you are about and converse with them about a variety of subjects. If  there’s a big football game coming up, you could have a poll set up on your site asking users who they think will win. This is a simple way to interact with your members.

Businesses are also allowed to advertise on social media sites in the form of pay per click advertising. Myspace and Facebook offer this option, and it usually costs as little as 5$ a day. Your ad will be shown on banners and text ads throughout the network. You have the option of targeting your audience. This form of advertising is difficult because there is advertiser competition. The higher you pay, the more your ad will be shown. Sometimes businesses can’t afford the high price of advertising. If you target the right audience and keep your pay per click price low enough, you’ll generate sales. You should use all of the social marketing techniques in order to get the best result possible.

Social networks connect online users together, and thats great news for marketers. Like with any marketing effort, you need to target the correct audience, and offer your customers a unique and valuable product.

MySpace Grew, Google Chrome Updates, and Retail Growth

AOL Programs, Verizon Palm, Tweets from Space, Education, and MMA Fight Picker

1. AOL has been struggling recently and it looks like the company is trying to turn things around. America Online once dominated the internet service provider market, but it looks like those days are long gone. AOL is restructuring, and they recently purchased a video production company and plan to release online programming.

2. It seems like everyone is coming out with some kind of smart phone these days. You have the Blackberry, Nexus One, and now Verizon has released it’s Palm Pre Plus. There’s a lot of competition and it’s only a matter time before another mobile company releases a hot new product.

3. To tweet or not the tweet, that is the question. Where was the strangest place you sent a tweet? On the rooftop of your house? In a tree? Well, I don’t know if you could even come close to this tweet location. An astronaut sends a tweet from outer space. Twitter has gone intergalactic!

4. You can’t think of computers or the the internet without thinking about Bill Gates and Microsoft. It’s obvious he is an academic man, and he has fell in love with a new education website.  Bill Gates is in favor of online learning, and he believes that one certain company will revolutionize online education.

5. The internet isn’t always such a serious place, sometimes there is room for fun and games. Social sites have a large video game audience. Most people who frequented Myspace last year remembered the popularity of the Mobsters game. Break Media is releasing MMA FightPicker, and maybe they’ll dominate the social gaming market!

Google Sells Stock, Chrome Calls, and Apple Tablets

1. Google Chrome has some interesting features. Chrome is reportedly faster than other internet browsers. Google is competing against the very popular Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. There’s been a new extention added to the Google browser which may lead some to swich from Explorer or Mozilla to Chrome. People are now able to call a phone number directly from their internet browser.

2. Rumors are swirling about the Apple Tablet release. Will the new features be impressive, or will it leave people unsatisfied? With the introduction of smartphones, there is alot of speculation that the Tablet will have similar features to that of the Droid or iPhone. It will not be known for sure what the Apple Tablet has to offer the public until there is an announcement by the Apple company.

3.  Google is a hot commodity in the stock market, but it looks like there is a plan for the co founders of the search company to sell their shares as part of a trading plan. This isn’t necessarily an indication that there is a problem. Google’s share prices may have dipped a bit, but the year has just begun. We’ll have to wait and see where this decision will take Google.

Facebook Expands and Google Declines

Facebook is ready to lease office space for a data center.  The very popular social site is ready for some changes. Millions of people use facebook, and it’s the desired destination for people looking to chat or connect with old friends.

With so much news about Google lately, it’s a suprise to hear that the search company had a 10 percent decline in the Nasdaq so far this year. Perhaps that is to be expected, and there is no need to panic. Prices in the market fluctuate constantly. What could the decline mean? As the year continues, it will be evident which direction Google will take.

Affiliate Marketing: The Successful Blueprint

by Karima Holston

Who wouldn’t want to be a millionaire selling someone else’s product? You don’t have to worry about paying employees, maintaining a complicated website, or dealing with customer support. It’s inspiring when you hear success stories from the top internet marketers. Most aspiring millionaires have already heard of Shoemoney.com and the famous $130,000 Google Adsense check. What can be learned from the success of the people at the top? Nobody is going to give away all of their secrets, but if you watch closely, you are able to get a good idea of how to become a successful affiliate marketer.

Behind every success story is a tale of struggle and failure. It’s not pretty at all. When you decide that you are going to sell someone else’s product, you often gravitate to the products that you feel will convert well. It’s a great feeling to receive a sale, but it’s hugely disappointing when you sink all your work and time into an affiliate program only to find out that your efforts were in vain. You ask yourself whether it was the product or your marketing efforts that were ineffective. Many successful marketers have failed at one point in time, but there is a lesson to be learned from the failure.

Earning money from affiliate programs isn’t as simple as advertising your url on search engines. You have to employ several methods of converting visitors into sales. There are quite a few methods that will increase your chances of success in affiliate marketing. Here are a couple:

1. Contests: In order to create a buzz about your product, offer something for free. You might have to spend a little money for the prizes but it would be worth it. Giveaway anything related to your product. If you’re promoting web hosting programs, give away a free domain name. The best part about contests are that you’re able to collect contact information from people who you know are already interested in website services. You could later e-mail your contacts about other upcoming contests or promotions you will have in the future.

2. Niche Promotion: If you’re going to promote an affiliate program, find one that has a small but profitable niche. If you’re targeting people who want cookie recipes, why not take it a step further? There is a lot of competition for cookie recipes, but you’ll get more targeted visitors and sales if you find an affiliate program targeting people looking for “gluten free chocolate chip cookie recipes”. You have to zero in on a specific market if you want to make sales with less competition.

Successful affiliate marketers will share some tips with you but you have to be prepared to learn through trial and error what will work for you. You still have the option of following marketers that you want to emulate. Many of them have blogs and will give you tips however, you will have to put all of your energy into perfecting your own method. Use the marketer’s advice as a guide, and be prepared for a lot of work.

Online Advertising: Real Time Results

by Karima Holston

One of the benefits of online advertising is that you are able to see results in real time of whether or not your marketing efforts are paying off. Hits to your website are instant. If you get a sale, then you know that you are on to something. You are also able to tweak an advertising campaign if it’s not giving you any results. The internet is an ideal place to get your message across to millions, and positive results can be measured in several ways. Even if you didn’t get an immediate sale with your online advertising method, that doesn’t mean that all is lost.

Sometimes a person will enter your website and decide not to buy your product right away. This happens many times. They may look over your product and decide it’s not for them. This is not the end of the battle, because online advertising is also about exposure and branding. There are studies which indicate that a person has to be exposed to an advertisement more than one time before they seriously consider purchasing the product. Sometimes visitors will come back to your site at a later time after seeing your advertisement again.

There are times when money is the issue for customers.  It’s not necessarily that they are unwilling to buy, it’s just that currently they are unable to afford the purchase. If someone is interested enough in your product, they will come back later when their financial situation improves. Branding is very important in this instance because some potential customers will be more receptive to buying a product that they have seen before. Nobody wants to make a purchase decision without at least being somewhat familiar with your products. Online advertising also has some extra free benefits as well, and it’s the reason why businesses are successful.

One of the benefits of advertising online is the opportunity for free branding. You’ll get your advertisement seen without having to pay for it. Two examples of that occurs in search engine marketing and banner advertising. If you choose to advertise on search engines, you’ll only have to pay when someone clicks on your ad. The same is true for banner advertising in many cases.  You’ll be able to display banners or search engine ads that contain your product, logo, or company slogan, and will only be required to pay for it if someone clicks on your advertisement. Not only will your product be exposed to millions of people, but you will increase product awareness for your advertising efforts.

The invention of the internet has made it easier for businesses to reach a captive audience. International customers are even easier to obtain and it doesn’t require any extra expense to advertise to them. Many times businesses will know when to continue with an advertising campaign, and conversion rates determine that decision. The results might not always be in real time, but online advertising is very effective. If you want a successful online business, you’ll have to utilize the power of the internet.

Website Traffic: Membership Sites and Increased Visitors

by Karima Holston

Whenever someone reaches your site, they are expecting to see relevant content. Chances are they found your site and clicked on the link because it contained information that they were interested in. In an attempt to convert website traffic, some marketers create pages designed to extract information from the visitors before they are allowed to view information on the website. The marketers will ask for e-mail addresses, or they may even ask for the prospective member to sign up and create an account in order to gain access to information on the site. How effective is this method, and does it increase traffic or sales in  any way?

If your website is offering free information such as “how to create a blog”, it can be a good idea to get information from the visitors beforehand. It depends on how effective your landing page is. It would be a good idea to offer detailed information of all of the features that the visitors will get for free and ask them a few questions . Now you know a little more information about your visitors, and as long as you offer them quality content, they will be back. If you frequently update your website with content, you will have the ability to grow a large base of people interested in your offers.

Once there is an increased amount of traffic to your site, you have the option of promoting products to your visitors. Since you know that your audience is already interested in blogging, this would be the perfect time to offer them blog related products. You have already collected contact information from your visitors, so you are free to ask them to check out your other offers. You will lose potential customers if you spam your contacts over and over again trying to get them to buy something. You have to keep providing the free content, but the paid service or product you offer should only be an option. Update your members or contacts on all of your services and not just the paid ones.

Using the same “how to create a blog” example from above, when you do eventually offer a product, it has to be related in the same field. An easy way to achieve high conversion rates is by joining affiliate programs and earning a commission promoting blog related products. There are quite a few blogging products to promote:

1. Hosting with built in Wordpress: Wordpress is one of the most popular blogging platforms. Encourage your visitors to register their own .com and purchase web hosting that will allow them to blog without having advertisements on their page.

2. How to make money with blogs: There are e-books that offer helpful information on how to make money with Google Adsense and paid blogging sites.

3. How to get blog traffic: Everybody would like to increase blog traffic, your regular visitors might be interested in more information on how increase the popularity of their blogs.

Membership sites are effective in increasing website traffic because people will link to your site and spread the word about it. This will only occur if you have a quality site. Your main focus shouldn’t be on instantly making a product, because you won’t retain a loyal following using that method. If you are consistent with your content, you will have increased website traffic and more prospective customers.

Apps, Mobile Market, Search Engines, and Browsers

1. Google decided to pull out of China. Search results weren’t censored and Google was unwilling to comply with China’s rules regarding censorship. Motorola raised a few eyebrows with their introduction of an application store in China despite  their relationship with Google.

2. The mobile market is a huge and profitable business. There are many successful companies, but find out who came out on top.

3. Search Engines have started to provide search results which include real time results from sites like Twitter and Delicious. Everyone pretty much knows about Bing and Google, but there are other other options available. Real time search engine alternatives are available and Computerworld names the top five.

4. What is the best internet browser? By default, Microsoft Internet Explorer is already included on most computers. Google Chrome caught the eye of many web surfers who wanted a quicker download time for web pages. The race isn’t over! The new release of a popular browser is causing one company to refer to their own product as the best.

Website Promotion: 3 Ways to Make Money

by Karima Holston

Once you have your website up and running, you’ll want to profit from it while offering your visitors quality content. The ultimate goal in online business longevity is to give your visitors a reason to come back. Profit is very important, but sometimes the amount of money you earn from your website will fluctuate. For this reason, you will need more than one source of income. Let’s say that you sell a software product, but sales are slow. If you exclusively sell software, then you’re in for  a lot of frustrating times because you put so much work into your website, but you don’t have much to show for it.

3 Ways to Make Money

1. You’ll need your own unique product. Even if you have no idea how to make software or write an e-book, you could easily buy resell rights to a lot of products, add your own unique twist to it, and sell it at a reasonable price. It’s important that you put a lot of work into the product that you promote. Even though it’s the central part of  your internet business, it’s only one component of how you will make money with your site. You’ll still need to diversify your options.

2. Advertisers are everywhere. There are millions of businesses willing to pay to advertise on high quality sites. Once you have your website design and product ready, join a publisher network like Google Adsense or the Yahoo Publisher Network. Strategically place the ads on your site in a few noticeable spots. There’s a thin line between advertising and annoyance, so make sure that you don’t plaster Google or Yahoo ads all over your site. It will do more harm than good. However, well targeted relevant ads would result in higher click through rates, which means that you’ll have a second source of income for your site.

3. Selling someone else’s product is a great way to add value to your site. If you ever visit webmaster or internet marketing forums, then you know that very successful marketers can make $20,000 selling for other companies. Clickbank and Commission Junction are a few affiliate networks that you can join. The key is to only add affiliate programs that compliment your existing product. If your website is about Italian cooking recipes, then you need to join programs dealing with food, cooking, or even Italian related books and movies. Someone who likes Italian food may also be interested in other aspects of the culture. The affiliate programs you join should compliment what you have as well as offer your visitors options to purchase products related to their interests.

Online businesses need options. Initially you may want to focus on just one product, but you’ll want to grow in order to stay profitable. If you look at the most successful online businesses, the ones that last the longest are the ones that are constantly changing to fit the needs of the public. You won’t become rich over night, but hard work will pay off if you just focus on the quality of your website.

Making Money from SEO Built Websites: Don’t Build Around Profit; Build Around Your Interests

by Kafooey.com

When it comes to SEO-built websites, there’s some major variety, both in the value of content, design of the website, and overall income, awareness, and marketing goals. For some people, SEO is a quick way to rank low-value websites in the search engines, whereas for other it’s an endless fight towards building the next authority niche website.

No matter what their goals, almost all internet marketers are hit by boredom and difficulties in motivation from time to time. It is part of the nature of the job; when you can work from home, all reason for motivation can quickly slide out the window. This means that many marketers need extra reasons for motivation, not just the promise of an online income in exchange for dull work.

There are essentially three different types of SEO-built websites, all of which are listed below. Instead of explaining the purely financial benefits of each, these websites are listed with a different approach: their overall value. That is not just financial potential, but the ability to inspire you into working harder, their value to you on a personal level, and their lifestyle quotient; how enjoyable each type is to work on.

1) Low-value, thin SEO websites:

We have all seen the type of websites that pop up when you search for a term known for high-paying Adsense clicks. They are typically about five pages in size, packed with poorly written, keyword-stuffed copy, and driven by the promise of the occasional Adsense click, Google commission, or perhaps even an affiliate banner that brings in a commission.

There is income to be found in these websites, but it is certainly not long-term income. While they will quickly rank, they are uninteresting to work on, and not something that smart marketers should waste their time with.

2) High-value, authority websites designed for finance:

These are the high-value version of the above. Their built around niches that are valuable for Adsense users, typically packed with appropriate, human-designed content, and powered by Adsense advertisements, third-party ads, and affiliate offers. They are ultra-profitable, highly useful for visitors that are interested in the niche, but still utterly dull for webmasters. While they are a great long-term investment, they are not the type of SEO-driven website that can keep owners truly interested.

3) High-value, interest-driven websites:

Most high-value websites start as a passion project. From personal travel websites that spiral into major online publishers, all the way to small niche projects that turn into an ultra-valuable resource, the vast majority of truly remarkable web projects are driven by real human interests.

If you want to build a long-term, high-value SEO website, this is the type of project to go for. Web presences that are designed to bring in an income alone certainly do so, but in the process they rob you of your enthusiasm. Smart marketers do not just look for the most commercially viable SEO project out there; they look for one that combines their interests and a potential income. If you want to create a high-value, long-term SEO asset, it is best to do the same.

Oh So Social Right and Wrong Promotion

by Karima Holston

You’ve got to love the internet. This new explosion in social sites has been both a gift and a curse for online businesses. Many businesses use facebook or twitter to keep in touch with their customers, and it’s a great way to alert their followers of special upcoming promotions. If done correctly, a business can grow exponentially. I came across a site that I thought used social media advertising correctly. I can’t remember the name of the site, but I was browsing the internet like I do on so many occasions, and came across a web site that was marketing the right way. The Office is a hugely popular show on NBC. It‘s a comedy about the daily interactions between employees at a paper company. They are led by their headstrong, quirky, and sometimes insensitive boss Michael Scott. It’s my favorite show by the way. .

I’m not sure how I even got to this web site, but it was an interesting one. Maybe I’m a little biased because I like the show. The site was focused heavily towards social interaction. The website administator would post quotes from The Office, and visitors would vote on which one’s they thought were the best. People would leave comments and add what they thought were the best quotes from the show. The webmaster would chime in from time to time with comments and kept the content fresh by adding more surveys and encouraging visitor interaction. The best thing about it was that none of it felt forced. The site had to make money somehow; after all it was a business. Visitors had the option to purchase The Office paraphernalia. Ringtones and bobble heads were a few of the items for sale, but the products weren’t plastered on every single page in oversized fonts. The web site catered to a niche market and was able to effectively promote their products.

I’ve seen a lot of bad promotion with social media sites. We’ve all seen them. You yourself might have experienced this. You’re on Myspace and you receive a friend request from someone that seems cool. You’re thinking to yourself, “I’ll be friendly, this person seems okay”. Next thing you know, BAM! You’re instantly being bombarded with e-mails and messages with titles like “MAKE MONEY ONLINE AND BE A MILLIONAIRE IN 6 MONTHS”. How about the ever so modest, “FIND OUT THE SECRET TO HOW I MADE $30,000 IN ONE MONTH”. Now I’m not going to lie, at some point in the past I would join those “money making”  affiliate programs and try to promote them, because I felt like people would be curious enough to buy those e-books. It’s dishonest and now I am only willing to join affiliate programs that have some substance. Truthfully, some of those e-books have tid bits of helpful information but not enough to pay $99.99 for it. I have actually purchased the resale rights to some of those e-books and will begin to give then away on the Kafooey blog site.

Search Engine Marketing Meltdown

by Karima Holston

All good things must come to an end. Is that the case with search engine marketing? I think that currently it’s more about creativity when it comes to search engine advertising. It’s not necessarily that online businesses have to come up with creative ads, but they have to come up with creative keywords. Taking the not so obvious route may increase sales and leads.

There needs to be changes in keyword targeting. With the term “web hosting”, advertisers can expect to pay up to $14 for the top position in google. That’s unbelievably high. So now it becomes a challenge because finding targeted cheap keywords isn’t an easy task. It doesn’t do you any good to advertise your web hosting service to people looking to play free online games or readers looking for celebrity gossip. So it’s time to really think about who would want to own a website and find ways to market to them.

One way is “how to” keywords. Some of them are cheap and although they aren’t related to web hosting directly, they are words related to making an internet presence. Here are a few “how to” keywords and how many times they were searched for on google last month.

how to twitter – (exact phrase) – searched 4400 times globally – CPC is $0.05.
This would be the perfect time to present information to the viewer on how to use twitter. In the same instance, you could also bring up to the viewer that it’s possible to make money from advertisements using twitter and a website. If your webhosting service has an instant website builder or blog templates like many hosting companies do, then you have the opportunity to direct the viewer to your service.

how to get web page – (exact phrase) – searched 91 times globally – CPC $0.05.
The problem with this keyword phrase is the actual number of searches. Most people will look at a phrase like this and say that it’s a waste of time bidding for a keyword with a low level of searches. One thing that needs to be realized is that those searches add up if you are able to find other similar phrases. There are alot of them out there and it does take time to find them. If you take the time to find 1000 phrases that each get 91 searches a month, you’ll have 91,000 page impressions. It is estimated that the first position gets about a 7 percent click thru rate so potentially 6371 visitors will visit your site. If you are able to get a 1 percent conversion rate, then you’ll make 64 sales for only 5 cents a click.

As with most things in life, it will take hard word. It’s not time to give up completely on search engines. There are million of keywords that have very little value to most other marketers. If you make it your mission to find them, it will be very rewarding for you. One other important thing to remember is that marketing methods become oversaturated. It’s conceivable that more and more online businesses will adhere to these methods and that will cause a decrease in the effectiveness of the low costing keyword method.

Four Reasons Why PPC is the Best Traffic Method for New Marketers

by Kafooey.com

Online marketing is a difficult industry to crack into, especially for people that are not experienced with coding languages, internet economics, and marketing terms. At first glance, the online marketing industry looks as difficult to enter as a pro-only poker game. Of course, under the complex terminology and the steep learning curve, there is really an industry that almost anyone can succeed in, provided they have got the determination and marketing savvy to generate results.

For new marketers, PPC (pay-per-click) advertising is one of the best ways to break into the game. While other methods might be more profitable for long-term income, few have the growth potential and short-term value that PPC does. If you are new to online marketing and are looking for a great way to make your first sales, check out these four reasons to go with PPC.

1. PPC has infinite growth potential.
With SEO, you are always limited by how many people type in your specific search term every month. Sure, there is big long-term cash, but how many people enter the online world looking to work now and earn three years down the line? When you are first starting out, cash in hand is king, and PPC is the greatest way to get that cash. By building campaigns, split-testing to see which are most effective, and optimizing to ensure you are not wasting time and money, you could grow a $5 per day campaign into a $10,000 income monster.

2. PPC has instant effects.
As soon as your advertisements are approved and activated, you are getting traffic to your business website or online affiliate offer. When it comes to the beginning weeks of online marketing, you really need that traffic to test what’s effective and what is not. While SEO can get you traffic in the long-term and article marketing can generate small amounts of traffic for free, nothing beats PPC when it comes to generating massive amounts of traffic in a short amount of time.

3. With a bit of work, you can see your per-click bids drop dramatically.
Even a small amount of on-page optimization and ad modifications can drop your per-click costs right down. When you are new, any margins are good margins, and the lower your advertising costs go, the more of those tasty commissions you get to keep. If you are advertising with Google Adwords, work on your landing page quality and click-through rates. If you are a Facebook advertiser, work on boosting click-through rates and ad approval. For other marketing forms, stats and specs can differ, but the major goal is the same: cheap click costs!

4. 6 months of PPC can earn a lot more than 6 months of employment.
Unless you are a top defense lawyer or a specialist surgeon, six months of hard work on highly optimized PPC campaigns can generate a lot more income than six months of stable employment. If you are in a situation where work is becoming a real struggle, research PPC tactics, spend some cash on testing advertising platforms, and work towards a lucrative online income.
